Xiaomi Arena
XIAOMI ARENA
Xiaomi Arena is the largest multifunctional events center in Latvia and one of the most significant buildings of this type in the Baltics. In Xiaomi Arena, large-scale sports, music, cultural and entertainment events take place. It was built in 2006 to hold the World Hockey Championships.
Both European level sports events (European championships in basketball for men and women; Davis cup in tennis etc.) and concerts by world class musicians have taken place at Xiaomi Arena, attracting visitors from Latvia and its neighboring countries. Up to now, such stars as Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, Sting, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Muse and many others have performed at the Arena. It is always the home arena for the RHL hockey club Dinamo Rīga and basketball club VEF Rīga, which participates in the VTB league tournament and is Latvian champion many times over.
